On the Move

Sorry I've not posted in a while; things have been extremely busy around here! For anyone who has not heard, we have big news! We will soon be moving from Kilgore to the Dallas area. Jim has recently accepted a sales position with Halliburton in the Carrollton office. Carrollton is a community of approximately 118,000 people located in the north part of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

We've been busy getting our house ready to sell and currently have it listed with Coldwell Banker Realty in Kilgore. The plan is to give them a few weeks to try to sell it. If we don't receive an acceptable offer within a few weeks, we plan to take Halliburton's offer and begin the relocation process. Jim's scheduled start date at Carrollton is November 16th (this Thursday!), so things are moving quickly.

Though we've done a lot of work to our home in Kilgore and are sad to sell it, we are excited about the prospects of what this move will mean for our family life. This new job should have more of an office-type schedule (8-5/Mon. - Fri.) than his current job. Though we will really miss his 4-day weekends off for our trips home, we are looking forward to hopefully seeing a little more of each other in the evenings and on the weekends.

In case anyone is worried about how Isaac is handling the news of the move, he seems to be taking it all in stride. :)
