Vacation - October 07

For our first "family" vacation last year, we chose Branson. Actually, Branson chose us. Jim accepted one of those timeshare presentation offers, so we got a discount on our hotel and some free show tickets. Overall, we doubt we will choose that method of vacationing again because our hotel was just ok, our show options didn't include the traditional Branson shows that I wanted Jim to see, and we had to sit through the presentation, which lasted longer than they said it would smack-dab in the middle of the second day. We did, however, enjoy our trip and all the shows we attended. We chose "The Acrobats of China" and "The Twelve Irish Tenors" for our free tickets. We also got to see "The Oakridge Boys." Isaac liked the colored lights at the "Acrobats of China," except he preferred to sit in my lap and watch them on the back wall. I guess all those people moving around on the stage were distracting for him. :) He slept through most of the other two shows. During the day, we visited the outlet malls and enjoyed lots of non-diet food! It was wonderful...I had funnel cake and hot chocolate twice!!! :)

We also really enjoyed the scenery. We didn't take that many pictures on the trip, but we did get a couple of good ones on the way back to my parents' house. These are of the Ozark Mountains.
